I have an old Jiffy Model 30 and have found it hard to start sometimes when it has not been used for a while. If I back out the mixture screw on the carb one full turn then try to start it that works pretty well. Then after it runs a bit put the mixture screw back in where it was. So I have a Jiffy 30 ice and it doesn't run very good it dies out when you are cutting a hole and runs rough and also it takes 4 or 5 pulls to get it started I took the carb apart and cleaned it but i cant set the low speed idle screw because it is capped is there a reason that it is like that? The auger runs great till last couple of inches, boggs out or dies. I lift auger and let blades work but you go thru blades faster and at $67.00 to $79.00 a set gets to be old!
